Whooo Hooo!

That’s right! Whooo hooo! I am feeling pretty happy and content these days.  I have got to participate in fun and happy occasions of celebrations and achievements this past weekend.  Plus, some good news and cool stuff happened this past week.

Starting with my husband’s doctor’s appointment last Monday, his doctor cleared him for us to travel to Hawaii next month, whooo hooo, and that is of course, if he follows some directions so he stays well.  Then I had a work meeting the next day (on zoom) and was offered a project for the summer again, whooo hooo, that’s how we’ll pay for the trip to Hawaii, 😊. Plus, I talked about my mentor so much they asked me to bring her on board with us, now I’ve got it all set up a zoom meeting with her and them for this Wednesday, whooo hooo!

Joan had the pleasure of meeting me when I was about four years clean, (lol) I was pretty young in my recovery, she was my instructor in a few different classes for my Drug and Alcohol Counseling degree. She is amazing and I’m happy she will meet with my team. Yay.  I’m anxious to see where this will go. Whooo hooo!

Also, this last week I’ve been back at my treadmill time, and it helps me so so much. Whooo hooo. I’m feeling better already. Plus, I started Turmeric supplements. Considering my brain issues and arthritis etc. it seemed like, hey, it couldn’t hurt!  My husband and I have been writing a lot more on our story and all that. I love that, it really lifts me up, I love writing and want our story put down for all eternity, whooo hooo.

Then on Thursday one of my sponsee’s had fifteen years clean, which, is her second time to do so, actually she had eighteen years before and relapsed and came back finally. She has been around the program for thirty-three years all total. Saturday night we celebrated her at a meeting and then dinner afterwards.  It is so inspiring to see these women stay clean, do-good stuff with their families, lives, jobs and communities. I’m so proud of her, whooo hooo.

On Friday we were invited by another one of my sponsee to go to lunch and out target practice with her, her husband and son. Whooo hooo, it was a special time because he was leaving the next morning to go cross country to work for four months, whooo hooo. He will be missed but it’s a great job. I felt blessed that he wanted to spend that time with my husband, they are friends and all of us together had a good time. Whooo hoo!

Then we went to our grandson’s last baseball game of his school life. And as a senior, there was a celebration after the game, which they won, whooo hooo. And we were blessed once again that day to be included, I love this boy so much and I know he will go on in life to do great things, like his big brother. He probably won’t become a doctor, but I know whatever he does, it will be stupendous. Whooo hooo! And last night, he went to his senior prom. So handsome and sweet.

I am feeling the blessings and benefits of staying clean and true to my program, my husband, family, life and my God for these last forty years! Whooo hooo!  And by the way, May 1st marked me living in this house with my husband for forty-four years, whooo hooo.  I am grateful for every bit of it. God is so good, thank you Lord, I could not, would not- have done one spec of it without you, thank you for you Lord! Whooo hooo!

Question of the Week: Have you had a whooo hooo lately?

Since it’s Cinco De Mayo, maybe a taco would hit the spot! Whooo hooo!!
