Aloha!

This hasn’t been an ordinary week by no stretch of the imagination. As I write this, I’m sitting in my cabin onboard a cruise ship docked in Maui Hawaii. Who would have thought it? This journey began about four days ago, and it’s been a pretty busy time of it. Three nights in hotels before boarding the ship yesterday and we have six more days to go on the ship.

We’ve had a couple of big drives seeing beautiful scenery with oceans, rain forests and all kinds of landscapes. Met lots of nice people and a couple not so nice. But all in all, I love it, God is good, and recovery pays off. We are, of course, celebrating our 40-40-40! What a miracle and I’m so thankful and grateful for everything.

It might sound all luxurious and hoity toity, but, it’s not. We’ve worked hard with our program, our jobs, relationships, life to be able to do this.  We’ve had to learn to be good stewards with our money and how to budget. There’s more to life, to recovery than I ever knew.  But because of staying clean and in NA, we are able to do this kind of stuff.  Not very often, but here we are, God is faithful to the faithful.

I pray all good and wonderful things for all of you. If you are struggling somewhere in your recovery, three years, ten, eighteen, twenty-two or thirty-five, it will pass, just hang in there, it gets better, and the best is yet to come.

Mahalo peeps, KCB!

Question of the Week?  Are you making future plans?
