A Brag on my husband and grandsons

Wow! I can’t believe it. Our oldest grandson is now officially a certified physician. He is amazing, it’s not just that he is so smart, it’s him, he is a beautiful soul, with kindness and compassion in his heart and a great love for the Lord. His cute little family is so precious, and we have been here for four days celebrating him and his wife as well, for this huge accomplishment.  They had three little boys in the time he has been in school and residency. They have definitely had their hands full.

I feel like the most blessed grandmother ever. So thankful, especially for NA, my Higher Power and the fact he’s never seen us high or drunk. I think I’ve mentioned that before.  I can’t wait to see where his new life takes him, it will be quite an adventure and story for them.  I just pray all good and wonderful things for them always.

Meanwhile, my husband and youngest grandson and I have had our own special adventure coming here together.  We took a path that we’d never taken before and it was a difficult one and my husband has not been doing well; in fact, he stayed here in the hotel room today instead of going to the family party for our grandson that he loves and cares for so dearly.  I have been quite worried and suggest urgent care.  He is so stubborn, typical man. So, I called my grandson for medical advice, and we are doing it.

I’ve sent out requests for prayers from some friends and family. I just want to get him home. But the thing is, he wouldn’t have missed Eddie final ceremony for anything. Which was a very nice event in a beautiful park pavilion. It has been quite a busy time and trying to keep my sixteen-year-old grandson happy, well and being sixteen has been a part of this bargain as well. He is a good kid, and I love him so very much.  I pray all good and wonderful things for him as well, one more year of high school and then we’ll see where life takes him.

These three guys I’m writing about tonight are my heart and soul, I do have another grandson that I love to pieces as well, he just turned nineteen, but he is not here on this trip, I’m just talking about these three I’ve been with for the last four days. Three amazing men.  Who are sweet, caring and yet strong and protective of their families. They are loving and gentle, when need be, and fierce and no-nonsense when needed.

It’s been another long week and I’m tired, headed to bed now to be ready for the long drive tomorrow.  I’m grateful for them all and trusting the Lord to watch over them all and get my husband through the night and home safely tomorrow, amen.

Question of the Week: Do you have some awesome men in your life?
